A traditional Snowdonia bungalow – albeit one with underfloor heating, Welsh tapestry rugs and fabulous slate sinks – Blaen-y-Buarth is sensible yet as pretty. There’s a hut to store boots and bikes in, beds with memory foam mattresses and a rest room with each a calming, soak-ready tub and a walk-in, mud-rinsing shower. What a lot of might you want? A garden swing, or a gin mill among walking distance? It’s got those too.
